Itinerary
- Arrive in Govindghat, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, accessible by road from Rishikesh.
- Check into a guesthouse or hotel for overnight accommodation.
- Spend the evening exploring the local market and preparing for the upcoming trek.
- Start early and embark on a picturesque trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria, the base camp for the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
- Trek approximately 13 kilometers, spanning 6-7 hours, traversing lush forests and following the banks of the Pushpavati River.
- Arrive in Ghangaria by late afternoon and settle into a guesthouse or campsite for the night.
- Begin the day with an early breakfast before commencing the trek to the renowned Valley of Flowers.
- Trek through enchanting landscapes, ascending gently through verdant forests and meadows adorned with a vibrant array of wildflowers.
- After trekking about 4-5 kilometers, reach the entrance gate of the Valley of Flowers National Park.
- Explore the valley, marveling at its diverse flora and fauna while soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
- Spend ample time capturing the beauty of the valley through photography before returning to Ghangaria by late afternoon.
- Embark on an early morning trek to Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh pilgrimage site situated at an altitude exceeding 15,000 feet.
- Trek approximately 6 kilometers through challenging terrain, characterized by steep ascents and rocky paths.
- Arrive at Hemkund Sahib by mid-morning and pay homage at the Gurudwara while taking in the serene ambiance and breathtaking views of Hemkund Lake.
- Descend back to Ghangaria in the afternoon, retracing the same route, and spend the evening in relaxation.
- After breakfast, trek back from Ghangaria to Govindghat along the familiar trail.
- Reach Govindghat by late afternoon or early evening, completing the trek.
- Check into a guesthouse or hotel for overnight accommodation and celebrate the successful completion of the trek.
- Bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of the Valley of Flowers as you depart from Govindghat, either by road or by continuing your journey to other destinations in Uttarakhand.

Preparation Guide
