Located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India, this sacred lake holds immense religious significance and is revered as the abode of Lord Shiva.
The journey to Kedartal is not just a trek; it is a pilgrimage through rugged terrain, towering mountains, and awe-inspiring landscapes. The trail begins in the quaint village of Gangotri, where pilgrims and trekkers alike gather to embark on this spiritual odyssey.
As trekkers ascend higher, the landscape transforms dramatically, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks including Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth, and Jogin peaks. The trail winds its way through dense forests of pine and rhododendron, across gushing rivers and cascading waterfalls, providing a glimpse into the raw beauty of the Himalayas.
